Joining the lineup for the 2025 edition of Sonic Park Stupinigi:DREAM THEATER will be on stage Thursday, July 17.
Iconic band of progressive metal, DREAM THEATER will continue the celebrations next summer for the return of the drummer Mike Portnoy and for their “40th Anniversary Tour”: the band will perform their greatest hits live and their new songs of “Parasomnia”, released in February 2025.
Dream Theater is an American progressive metal band, founded in Boston in 1985 by John Petrucci, John Myung, and Mike Portnoy. Despite some lineup changes, the three original members remained with the band until September 8, 2010, when Portnoy decided to leave the group. He was replaced by Mike Mangini for over a decade, Portnoy made his return to the band in October 2023. Since 1991, James LaBrie has been the band’s lead vocalist, while Jordan Rudess joined as keyboardist in 1999.
The band states: “We were amazed by the reaction of our Italian fans to the announcement of the summer shows. It will be fantastic to perform in places so rich in history and culture. And you know what? We’ve decided to add another show in Italy, in this country we love so much. See you on July 17 in Turin for the final show of the 2025 Italian tour!”
