A new name has been announced for the rich lineup of Sonic Park 2025:Nino D’Angelo, the iconic Neapolitan singer-songwriter.

The “boy from Curve B” will celebrate over 40 years of an extraordinary career with a big ’80s-themed party, featuring songs that have touched the hearts of multiple generations. Hits like “A’ Discoteca”, an anthem in Italian clubs during the 1980s, “Popcorn e Patatine”, the soundtrack of the film by the same name that captures the joy of carefree love, and “Maledetto Treno”, a touching ballad with deeply emotional lyrics, will all be part of the celebration. And of course, “Napoli”, which has recently become the official anthem of the Napoli football team, will not be forgotten.
Nino D’Angelo’s career has been marked by a prolific artistic output and remarkable versatility as a singer, actor, and musician. He has taken part in the Sanremo Music Festival six times, received prestigious awards including a David di Donatello, a Ciak d’Oro, a Nastro d’Argento, and a Globo d’Oro for the soundtrack of Roberta Torre’s musical film Tano da morire. In 1998, he co-hosted the DopoFestival, served as artistic director of Naples’ Teatro Trianon Viviani, and performed a tribute concert for Sergio Bruni at the Teatro Real San Carlo.
These are just a few of the highlights from a career that began in 1976, and has since made Nino D’Angelo one of the most beloved artists by both the public and critics alike. One of the most emotional moments of his life was the creation of a tribute mural by artist Jorit in San Pietro a Patierno, the Naples neighborhood where D’Angelo was born. Commissioned by the local residents, the mural honors a man who has always stood close to the people through his art.
